I've just made the following positive observation of HW Tau
TAUHW 000202.9049 14.6 JCN VSNET
Can anybody confirm this is an outburst of this object?
I'm slightly concerned by the facts that:-
The identity on both the TA and VSNET charts is marked as 'uncertain';
The VSNET chart shows the variable as a star of magnitude 14.68;
And this is only the third time I've seen this field (!).
