[vsnet-alert 4003] SX LMi likely superoutburst

SX LMi likely superoutburst

The outburst of SX LMi (cf. vsnet-alert 3999) has reported to show
a further rise, as indicated by the following observations.

  YYYYMMDD(UT) mag observer
  20000104.103 <155 (G. Poyner)
  20000105.008 <144 (G. Poyner)
  20000106.240 <142 (G. Hanson)
  20000107.108 <135 (P. A. Dubovsky)
  20000109.008 147 (G. Poyner)
  20000109.035 <139 (H. McGee)
  20000109.101 145 (G. Poyner)
  20000109.294 140 (G. Hanson)
  20000109.996 137 (G. Poyner)
  20000111.288 138 (M. Simonsen)

As already mentioned in vsnet-alert 3999, this outburst would provide
an excellent opportunity to observe superhumps in the early stage.
The superoutburst of SX LMi was best observed on its 1994 occasion
(Nogami et al., PASP 109, 1114). The detailed superhump period and
period changes still await further observations.
