On Munidos error Re: [vsnet-alert 3976] Re: CW Mon - first results > I'm not entirely certain of the JD as > Munidos produced a strange answer. I must download the amended version. !! CAUTION TO ALL !! Those who use the "old" version of Munidos should upgrade the program as soon as possible! And those who have submitted any data for publication, or have already published with old Munidos should check the result with the new Munidos. In case one has already erased the original images, the following note may be useful before completely discarding the data. Upon examination with Gianluca Masi, with some information from Rudolf Novak, the most likely bug of the old version seems to be reside in the process adding half exposure time to the exposure start to get the mid-exposure time. Old Munidos regards exposure times in minites rather than seconds. So the most likely corrections to the old data should be -exp*30+exp/2 seconds (exp = exposure time in second). However, the original source code being unavailable, this is an experimental solution. When original images are available, please re-analyze all images, as Rudolf has suggested. If one finds deviations from the experimental corrections above, please let us know the phenomenon. Please convey this caution to all users and potential users of Munidos. Regards, Taichi Kato
