Dear friends,
Last night, we completed a 7.5h session of CCD photometry on QY Per (Jan 04/05, 2000), very much hampered by clouds. Superhumps were still very prominent, with a mean amplitude of 0.40 mag.
We are now again involved in a CCD photometry run on QY Per (Jan 05/06, 2000), that has started at 18h UT under perfect skies. It is expected to continue untill about 02h UT, weather permitting. An intermediate look at the real-time light curve shows superhumps with an amplitude just below 0.4 mag.
I will further analyse the data later today, and then submit the observations to the international VSNET QY Per collaboration team.
Best regards and all the best for a splendid 2000 !
