QY Per observation tonight
We have been observing QY Per since 08h 33m UT (only 31 min gap after
Lew Cook's run!). The object is, as expected, still bright. It's totally
fascinating such a complete coverage has been made possible on the early
developing stage of such a rare phenomenon. We plan to observe at least
until 14h UT (the run can be terminated by the local Y2K problem). If
conditions allow, Katsura Matsumoto-san may take over my observing session.
Good luck to all!
Regards,
Taichi Kato
