> Patrick, > > Congratulations on discovering another CV in outburst 36 hours AFTER it's > initial sighting! Thanks a lot! But I have to congratulate you - you must have made your sighting in broad daylight! Btw, how did you come to the result of 36 hours? My VSNet report was issued 22 hours after Bill Worraker's sighting and 39.8 hours after the CCD image had been taken. > I certainly wouldn't fix my computer either if it was so > helpful in facilitating my post/pre-discoveries. Actually, I would have preferred to report the outburst 1.5 days earlier ... > I purposely did not submit my observations to vsnet until I was certain it > was daylight in Europe because your reputation precedes you. It's nice that you thought about me. How did you know that this star is on my program? Btw, I originally had supposed that someone made an erroneous conversion of your time of observation into UT. But since you waited so long with reporting your outburst detection, I would think there was time enough for you to make a proper conversion. And if Taichi Kato had made a mistake you would most certainly have sent a correction to VSNet by now, too. > You are without > question the unmitigated liar and ass that everyone thinks you are. Thanks for your appreciation. But 'unmitigated' and 'everyone'? How about myself ;-) > Without apologies, > Mike Simonsen But I would hope with deep gratitude. Without the 'dubious' computer failure and Gary Poyner's (dubious???) illness you may have never made your way to VSNet fame ;-) Looking forward to your future outburst detections. And please try to observe QY Per at night - it will be an even more impressive sight. Patrick
