Dear colleagues, I would like to inform you for a developer team of CCD photometry software called Munipack that a new 2.1 version of DOS-part (MuniDOS) is available now through a web at http://vsnet.ian.cz/munipack In the new package there is reported JD calculation bug fixed and Y2K problem solved (as we hope :). We strongly recommend you to download new version and check if the Julian date problem was also in your case. The fault was in a method of JD calculation so if you are "under attack" of this bug, your datasets should contain bad JD so much iimportant in variable stars observation. If so the sorry - we are sad to take your time to reanalyze your datasets. Y2K solution is done very simply. The program test the date in a ST-7 header and if the year is less than 80 then it add 2000. Right now we work on more serious solution based on new header in Windows version of SBIG's software for cameras. We hop, we'll do it in next 80 years :))) All questions, comments are welcome! Happy New Year with as a few as possible bugs in our package. For developers team Rudolf Novak Nicholas Copernicus Observatory, Brno - Czech Republic http://ian.cz/codel
