Dear colleagues,
I carried out the spectroscopy of Nova Aql 1999 No.2.
I send following report to CBAT.
-----
K. Ayani, Bisei Astronomical Observatory (BAO) obtained low-dispersion
spectra (range: 400-900 nm, resolution: 0.54 nm at H-alpha) of Nova
Aql 1999 No. 2 at Dec. 2.4 UT with the CCD spectrograph mounted on BAO
1.01-m telescope. Emission lines of Balmer series, Mg II 4481 (or He
I 4471), O I 7774 are detected. All of these lines have P-Cyg
profiles. Weak lines of Fe II 4924, 5018 may also have P-Cyg profiles
but dominated by blueshifted absorption. Decomposing H-alpha profile
into a blueshifted Gaussian absorption and a Gaussian emission
profile, the FWHM and equivalent width of emission component are about
1700km/s and 2.6 nm, respectively, and the blueshift of absorption
component with respect to the emission is about 1020km/s.
