LX And outburst
M. Watanabe (VSOLJ) discovered and reported to VSOLJ Meeting 1999
(in Japanese) that the variability of LX And, which star was classified
as RVb-type star, indicates the shorter duration of the bright state,
accordingly it is not a RVb-type star.
We began CCD photometry on LX And after his announcement.
Within our CCD observation for 1 month, we detected two outbursts,
and the later one was detected on 28 Nov. and now growing.
The previous outburst shows the amplitude of about 3.5mag and the rapid rise
within 2 days. For the nature of the lightcurve, it is probable that
LX And is a dwarf nova with the outburst period of 28-day.
More observation is urged to clarify its nature.
