Re: [vsnet-alert 3727] KM Lac in outburst Upon the notification by Patrick Schmeer, we obtained a 3.8-hour CCD time-series of KM Lac. A preliminary analysis (combined light with the nearby USNO star) shows no apparent indication of superhumps. This object may be more likely an SS Cyg star, as inferred from the uniform reported maximum of outbursts. However, our conclusion may have largely affected by the companion. Further observations are ecouraged. It may be also notable that the hand-written chart in Ric. Astron., 8, 12 (GCVS reference) clearly indicated the duplicity with the nearby USNO star, which star had led a considerable degree of confusion in the past. Regards, Taichi Kato Makoto Uemura
