[vsnet-alert 3602] GX Cas likely superoutburst

GX Cas likely superoutburst

As already reported, the long-period SU UMa-type dwarf nova GX Cas is
undergoing a bright outburst. Time-resloved CCD photometry is strongly
urged to accrately determine the superhump period. The Kyoto team plans
to start observing tonight. For more information of the object, see
PASJ 50, 411 (1998) by Nogami et al. The latest superoutburst of GX Cas
occurred in 1998 October.
