I would advice to use the following white / blue reference stars from
the Tycho catalogue for the present bright state of the new object in
Circinus.

D 142349-691844 9.06 0.59 *
E 142739-692113 9.28 0.27
F 142417-692406 9.89 0.12
Star D is indicated as a possible variable (of probably small
amplitude).
