The MACHO project has detected a candidate microlensing event in
progress towards the Galactic bulge.

RA (J2000) 17:55:0.1
DEC (J2000) -29:35:04
V ~17.9
R ~16.8
A ~1.6 and rising on 03 Aug, expected peak of A ~1.9 on 05 Aug,
duration 9 +/- 3 days. Finding charts and lightcurves are available
