[vsnet-alert 3139] MACHO Parallax Events

Dear Colleagues-

Further MACHO/GMAN observations of 2 microlensing events in progress
towards the Galactic bulge have revealed likely parallax effects.

Event 99-BLG-1
Star ID 121.22423.1032
RA (J2000) 18:08:50.0
DEC (J2000) -30:31:56
V ~18.8
R ~18.0

A ~3.4 and near peak on 22 Jun, duration 210 +/- 18 days. Best fit
lens transverse speed projected to the solar position is 36 +/- 2
km/s. Chi^2 improvement over standard fit is ~400.
