Sudden fading of FN Sgr L. E. Shaw reports the sudden fading of FN Sgr, symbiotic variable currently undergoing an outburst. A similar sharp drop was observed in 1996, centering 1996 June. There was also an indication of fading in 1997 Dec. - 1998 Jan. (coverage incomplete due to the seasonal gap). cf. vsnet-alert 433, 528 The present observation likely indicate the existence of deep eclipses, with a period of ~540 d.
