We report confirmation of P. Schmeer's observation of V1195 Ophiuchi (private communications; vsnet-alert 3086). We performed observations on UT 1999 June 8 with the MDM 1.3m telescope at Kitt Peak. UBVRI observations reveal the following at JD 2,451,337.76: V1195 Oph comparison star (20 arcsec E, 26 arcsec S) V = 16.57 V = 14.89 B-V = +0.24 B-V = +1.24 U-B = -0.52 U-B = +0.88 V-R = +0.17 V-R = +0.77 R-I = +0.23 R-I = +0.69 V-band time-series observations during HJD 2,451,337.763 -> .915 reveal a modulation with P ~ 0.068 d and amplitude ~ 0.2 mag. This confirms the dwarf nova identification of V1195 Oph and establishes it as a member of the SU UMa class. Astrometry with respect to 178 USNO-A2.0 stars in the observational frame yields the following coordinates: 17 00 21.67 -20 53 33.8 J2000.0 (+- 0.3 arcsec) J. Kemp J.
