[vsnet-alert 2864] Re: Possible SN in NGC 3294



According to Turry's Nearby Galaxy Catalog, NGC 3294 is 1 mag further
than Virgo (M 87).  Typical SNeIa on NGC 3294 distance would be about
13+ mag at its maximum.  Dr. Knauth's observation indicate that, if
this is really a supernova, it is somewhat bright one.
