[vsnet-alert 1402] Bright outburst of CR Boo

Bright outburst of CR Boo

Gene Hanson reports CR Boo, the helium dwarf nova, is undergoing a bright
outburst.

  YYMMDD(UT) mag observer
  971227.533 145: (G. Hanson)
  971227.838 16.25V (Ouda team)
  971228.540 <154 (G. Hanson)
  971228.855 16.44V (Ouda team)
  971229.510 <154 (G. Hanson)
  971231.812 16.05V (Ouda team)
  980102.506 136 (G. Hanson)

CCD observation at Ouda Station has just confirmed the outburst.
The object, however, looks significantly fainter than V=14. Time-resolved
CCD photometry is now being undertaken.

It may be likely the brightness of the object is varying with a time
scale less than a day. Observers are strongly urged to monitor the object
frequently.
