EF Peg [UGSU, 10.7p - [17p]
=============================

We have been informed by Patrick Schmeer of his visual detection of
an outburst of this interesting superhumping dwarf nova. Confirmations
have been received from Gene Hanson, Arizona and from Eric Broens,
Mol, Belgium. Available observations are :

1997 Nov 01.93  UT, <13.0  (P. Schmeer, 0.20-m SCT);
     Nov 02.244 UT, <14.4  (G. Hanson, 0.46-m refl.);
     Nov 02.713 UT,  11.1  (P. Schmeer);
     Nov 02.750 UT,  10.8  (P. Schmeer);
     Nov 02.760 UT,  10.7  (P. Schmeer);
     Nov 03.077 UT,  11.2  (G. Hanson);
     Nov 03.175 UT,  11.2  (G. Hanson);
     Nov 03.208 UT,  11.3  (G. Hanson);
     Nov 03.779 UT,  11.2  (E. Broens, combined estimate, seq: TA);

EF Peg was last seen in outburst on January 11, 1995, by Patrick
Schmeer [CVC 25], when it reached mag 10.7 [CVC 26]. This was
a superoutburst.

Since the variable is one of the components of a close optical double
star, make sure to indicate, when reporting magnitude estimates,
if your estimate relates to the combined magnitude or not.

A detailed description of the photometric behaviour of EF Peg during
its superoutburst in October 1991 is given in [1]. Spectroscopic
observations are reported in [2], while an overview of outburst
observations, and a discussion on the cycle length of EF Peg, is
presented in [3].
