Outburst of V503 Cyg The interval was quite short for this object since the last superoutburst (this star usually shows two normal outbursts during its ~90-day supercycle). Similar early occurence of the first normal outburst was also observed in 1996 September. The number of normal outbursts is atypically small for this short-supercycle length. Such occasional frequent appearance of normal outbursts may suggest the disk instability causing normal outbursts may be somehow supressed in this system during its "normal" activity cycle.
