IAUC No. 6746 tells the discovery of a new cataclysmic variable, apparently a new dwarf nova, by the Qiu et al. (Beijing Astronomical Observatory team). The object was spectroscopically confirmed as a cataclysmic variable (dwarf nova) in outburst. Position: 21h 12m 29s.54 (J2000.0) +12o 32' 06".5 According to their report, the outburst was detected on Sep. 20.52 UT at R=16.0 (<18.0 on Sep. 18), then the object faded to R=17.3 on Sep. 21.49. The speed of decline (1.3mag/day) strongly suggests that the object is an SU UMa-type dwarf nova. Systematic monitoring of future outbursts and possible superoutbursts is recommended.
