Bright outburst of V811 Cyg
Timo Kinnunen reports that the dwarf nova V811 Cyg is undergoing a bright
outburst as indicated by the following observations.
YYMMDD(UT) mag observer
970910.419 <143 (G. Hanson)
970911.408 <143 (G. Hanson)
970918.780 151: (T. Kinnunen)
970919.810 129 (T. Kinnunen)
970919.892 131 (T. Kinnunen)
V811 Cyg is rather peculiar in that it usually shows rather frequent short,
faint outbursts, but sometimes also shows bright ones. The present outburst
is one of the brightest in these years, and in only one occasion (JD 2433506)
in the long monitoring by the Vatican Observatory when the star attained
similar brightness, mpg = 12.7. Follow-up observations are encouraged.
