Dear colleagues,
We ( Uno, Kawabata, Ayani, Ohshima ) observed the microlensing event
97-BLG-56 which was reported in vsnet-alert 1147 and in IAUC 6720, and
found that it was brightened as predicted.
One of the observed images can be seen on the web page;
http://vsnet.oka.urban.or.jp/home/bao/astro/microle-e.html
The image was taken with the ST-6 CCD camera mounted on the 1-m
telescope at Bisei Astronomical Observatory.
Because of narrow field of view, there are no reliable source for flux
calibration. So we have not measured the brightness yet. However,
compared with the finding chart image from
http://darkstar.astro.washington.edu/macho/Alert/97-BLG-56,
it is obvious that the object was brightened.
