G'day all,
Justin Tilbrook (VSS RASNZ = Tz) reports EK TrA in outburst again:
Jul 22 10:08 UT 12.2
Justin also noted a moving 10th mag "fuzzy" while he was checking out TV
Crv. Approximate positions (2000) are:
Jul 22 10:20 UT 12h18m23s -18d59'
Jul 22 11:54 UT 12h18m25s -18d55'
Apparently going north at ~1 degree/day?
GUIDE 5 (June 1997 update) reports no galaxies, nebulae or known comets
within 30' of these positions. The "fuzzy" is definitely not NGC 4361.
Although Justin is familiar with this starfield, he would like
independent confirmation of this possible ??comet. I'm clouded out.
cheers,
Fraser Farrell
