The recurrent nova V3890 Sgr is reported to be active at minimum, as
indicated by the following observations by R. J. Modic.
YYMMDD(UT) mag observer
970415.385 150 (R. J. Modic)
970511.362 148 (R. J. Modic)
970520.360 146 (R. J. Modic)
970609.333 145 (R. J. Modic)
970610.322 144 (R. J. Modic)
CCD V-band observations carried out twice at Ouda Station in 1996
September showed the star at V=15.8. The present observations suggest
the star is 1.0-1.5 mag above minimum. Observations are encourged to see
if the current activity may lead to any major brightening. The similar
system RS Oph was reported to show "high state" just prior to the 1985
eruption.
