[vsnet-alert 948] ALEXIS Transient

ALEXIS has detected a potential transient in Telescope 2A (93 eV, 130
Angstroms) at:

          RA=  17 03 54.4
          DEC= +18 12 50.2
          (Epoch 2000)

          Error circle radius = 0.5 degrees (~90% confidence)

 There was no evidence of the object in the co-aligned telescope 2B (186
Angstroms,66 eV). The source became active at 12UT 1997 May 28,
and was still active at the time of last satellite contact (0 UT, 1997 May
30).

Simbad lists 39 objects with no obvious counterparts.

 Follow up observations are encouraged

                                                 Jeffrey Bloch
