[vsnet-alert 942] superoutburst of SS UMi

The SU UMa-type dwarf nova SS UMi is apparently undergoing a superoutburst
as suggested in [vsnet-obs 5853]

Observations:

  YYMMDD(UT) mag observer
  970518.430 <147 (G. Hanson)
  970519.401 <147 (G. Hanson)
  970519.976 <147 (G. Poyner)
  970522.205 <147 (G. Hanson)
  970523.985 145 (G. Poyner)
  970524.185 148 (G. Hanson)
  970524.965 144 (G. Poyner)
  970525.178 151 (G. Hanson)
  970525.512 140 (T. Watanabe)
  970525.985 141 (G. Poyner)
  970526.197 142 (G. Hanson)
  970527.164 139 (G. Hanson)

The observation on May 25.178 by G. Hanson may indicate a dip following
the triggering normal outburst (cf. T Leo this year,
http://vsnet.kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp/vsnet/DNe/tleo.html).

The last superoutburst of this object was observed in 1996 Apr.
Observations are encouraged.

Taichi Kato
