Dear readers,
I would like to introduce you some upgrades made at our web page. As you
can know, there were few mistakes before (with charts, photometry package
MuniPhot, with our observations ans so on). We prepared some new files and
informations which could be interesting for you. Please be patient of
English version. We are just amateurs learning this beautiful languague.
If you will send us some corrections which are realy important we would be
very happy. So here is a list of changes:
1) Program MuniPhot
finaly new version in section dedicated to CCD (main menu). In file
Muniphot.zip is short readme.txt how to use it. Many mistakes in text
but we hope that you'll understand. To this package are also sources in
file sources.zip. Because some routines are not finaly developed (there
are just working versions of mat2fot.exe (Turbo Pascal 6.0), analyze.exe
(TP 6.0) and plot_mat.exe (TP 6.0) ) we placed them sources to enable
you editing and correcting them if you want to. We looking forward to
hear from you just positive reactions :-)
2) Charts
In section charts there is file charts.zip prepared for downloading. It
contains about 26 CVs especialy TOADs. Charts are in PostScript and could
be printed on 600 dpi HP Laser Jet. Charts are for amateur observes who
just want to monitor their brightness and use binoculars almost.
Magnitudes are form GSC so they are full of errors but it's just for
limiting magnitude estimate. List of included stars is in file readme (I
think).
3) Our observations
We prepared images and short comments of some CCD observations results.
There are light curves of SW UMa, DV UMa, GR Tau and Goldilock's (Ondra)
variable. In this section is also added html file of Var21 CrB observing
with first superhump detection. Same as article submitted to IBVS. (Will
come soon I hope...) Please have a look and contact us if you'll have
any suggestions.
4) Variable star conference in Brno
We place a web page of Variable Stars Conference in Brno (Autumn '97)
which contains registartion form which you can print and send to Milos
Zejda (Brno). Of course you can use e-mail written there. We recomend
you to come already to Stellar conference (till wednesday to friday)
after which is mentioned Var. stars conf. Many interesting people will
come. For expamle: Dr. Andronov, dr. Sterken, D. Nogami (Am I right) and
others active observers and professionals. Of course we would be very
happy if come CBA memebrs from Europe (or other continent) will be able
to come. Maybe G. Poyner, L.T. Jenssen, T. Vanmunster and of course
others would be interested :-)
5) Var21 CrB - New SU UMa star
And of course informations about discovery....
So I hope that you'll find some informations interesting for you and will
have a look to our page. If you want to have there refernce to your page
or if you want to place your profile there please contact us at
gama@sci.muni.cz
