[vsnet-alert 888] outburst of CH Her

   The dwarf nova CH Her is undergoing a rather rare outburst as indicated
by the following observations by Gene Hanson.

   The last outburst reported to VSNET occurred on 1996 Aug. 11, which was
discovered by J. Mc Kenna.   CH Her is known to sometimes exhibit bright
outbursts reaching mv ~13.5.
