- Sender: owner-vsnet-alert@kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp
object YYMMDD(UT) mag code
PYXT 970311.536 <125 Ino.VSOLJ
PYXT 970311.625 130 Ino.VSOLJ (*1)
(*1) The observer reports "T Pyx visible by a 40-cm reflector (visual).
Also recorded by AVIS (I.I. + video), which clearly showed brightened
T Pyx at its proper location. Nearby 12.5 and 13.5 mag stars were clearly
identified." The observer used Burnham's handbook for identifying the
field.
While the observation still needs more independent confirmations,
there might have been a short brightness spike which might be somehow related
to the long-awaited forthcoming(?) eruption of this recurrent nova.
