ALEXIS has detected a potential transient in Telescope 1B (170 Angstroms,
72eV) at:
RA= [00 02 2.1]
DEC=[-77 39.27]
[Epoch 2000]
Error circle radius = 0.5 degrees (~90% confidence)
There was no evidence of the object in the co-aligned telescope 1A (93 eV).
The source became active at 0h UT 9 March, and was still active active but
fading when the satellite made contact at 17:50 UT. A Simbad search reveals
21 objects in the error box with 2 variable stars, one of which is a CV and
potential TOAD, BE Oct.
Follow up observations are encouraged
for more information, see the ALEXIS web page
