G'day all,
VW Hyi seen briefly at mag 12.2 from 13:20 to 13:22 UT on Feb 12. It
then vanished (<12.4) in about 10 seconds. Sky was about 1/4 patchy
clouds but Hyi appeared to be clear.
VW Hyi is known to have short flares preceding its outbursts by a day or
two. It is also known to be restless at minimum!
cheers,
Fraser Farrell
