Dear Sirs,
Z Cam is again increasing in brightness as the following observations indicates:
1997 Jan. 28.86 12.7
29.94 12.6
30.25 12.1
SS Cyg is behaving rather restless in its current minimum:
1997 Jan. 2.75 12.0 1997 Jan. 18.72 12.2
3.70 11.9 19.71 12.2
4.71 11.5 23.70 12.0
5.77 11.6 26.81 12.0
6.69 11.9 27.71 12.3
7.70 12.0 28.84 12.0
8.82 12.0 29.72 12.4
9.95 12.0 30.25 12.2
13.78 12.2
The estimate on jan. 29. is the lowest magnitude observed by me for more
than 40 years.
The instrument is a 12 1/2 inch Newtonian.
With regards
Oernulf Midtskogen
