The SU UMa-type dwarf nova RZ Sge is apparently undergoing a superoutburst as indicated by the following observations extracted from vsnet-obs reports. 1996 Aug. 2.950 <14.5 J. S. Day 3.016 <14.5 G. Poyner 3.959 <14.5 J. S. Day 3.974 <15.3 M. Biesmans 4.958 <14.5 J. S. Day (VSNET seq.) 4.975 <14.0 G. Poyner 5.0229 14.5 M. Biesmans (AAVSO seq.) 5.0292 13.9 M. Biesmans (VSNET seq.) 5.86 12.1 J. Pietz 5.9451 12.2 M. Biesmans (AAVSO seq.) Since the outburst was caught during the very early stage of the outburst, observataions of the early development of superhumps (and maybe searchs for super-QPOs) might be fruitful. The last reported outburst of this dwarf nova occurred on 1995 Oct. 21. Regards, Taichi Kato
