[vsnet-alert 212] possible nova in Cas, from Yamamoto



  M. Yamamoto has e-mail us the following.  The date of discovery and
the J2000.0 position may have been in error in the previous mails.
He also notes that the object was confirmed on two photographs.

I discovered a possible nova in CAS on Aug.24.567UT,
24.568UT at mag 9.2 on a T-Max400 exposure with 
a 200mm f/4.0 lenz and PO0 filter.
The position is R.A.=01h02m11s, Decl.=53d46' equinox
1950.0. 
The corresponding 2000.0-position is R.A.=01h05m09s
Decl.=54d02'.
The magnitude estimates: Jul 24,<10.
