[vsnet-alert 147] 3C345 faint

The OVV blazer 3C345 is anomalously faint now.
CCD photometric observations made at Osaka Kyoiku University
on May, 27.6(UT) and June, 1.6(UT) in V, R and I bands
resulted in the following magnitudes. Four comparison stars
(A, B, D and E) given in Smith et al. (1985, AJ., 90, 1184)
are used.
V R I
May 27.6 17.52+/-.05 17.19+/-.03 16.66+/-.05
June 1.6 17.63+/-.05 17.29+/-.04 16.63+/-.03
The V maginitude on June, 1 is fainter than that reported
in Kidger and Takalo (1990, AA., 239, L11).
They reported a suden fading detected on May, 22, 1990.
