Frank bateson has just reported to me, a ossible outburst of the star
AH Eri. This star is a likely Intermediate Polar with a spin period
of ~42 minutes (PASP 101 899 1889).
The star is near 18.4 at minimum and is reported to be possibly rising at
13.9 on mar 22.631 UT.
There is NO known orbital period for this star, and this is a rare large
amplitude outburst of an IP candidate.
High speed photometric observations and spectroscopy are encourged.
A chart and J2000 coordinates are available in PASP 1993, 105, 127 -
The Downes and Shara Catalogue.
NOte : this observation was made in bad weather and needs confirmation.
