SUPERNOVA 1995 G IN NGC 1643
R. H. McNaught (Anglo-Australian Observatory) reports the following position
from the 10 min exposure by C. P. Cass with the U. K. Schmidt Telescope
mentioned on IAUC 6138; R.A. = 04h43s44s.22, Decl. = -05d18'53".84 (equinox
2000.0, uncertainty 0".3 in each coordinate). The offsets from the center are
4".5 east, 16".1 north. A nearby star of mag ~17 has end figures 43s.50, 10".3.
This reduction used PPM. The earlier Perth 70 position was in equinox 1950,
not 2000 as stated.
