RX J0558.3+6753 long outburst: photometry on Sep. 14 Dear Colleagues, We have received time-series observations (2-3 hours each) on Sep. 14 from Arto Oksanen (observer Petri Tikkanen), Ondrej Pejcha and Tonny Vanmunster. A preliminary look at the combined light curve did not show clear evidence of superhumps larger than 0.1 mag. However, there is evidence of 0.05 mag variation (time scales 30-60 min) in Tikkanen's data, whose nature needs to be further examined. Although the present observation suggests the SS Cyg-type classification, further observation would be helpful in clearly determining the classification. Regards, Taichi Kato VSNET Collaboration team == Comment from the Nyrola team: Here is our dataset of RXJ0558.3+6753 run from Nyrola. The star is bright CR=14.6, but does not show superhumps or they are very small amplitude. Only fading trend about 1 mag per day is evident on the light curve. Unfiltered 60s exposures with 0.40 m SCT + ST7E CCD. Observation timespan Sep 13 20:22 - 22:54 UT. High humidity and condensing problems towards the end of run. The reference star (C) is the R=12.54 GSC2.2 star N3102000421 south of variable. The check star (K) is GSC 4344:1248.
