RX J0558.3+6735: fading
Dear Colleagues,
We have partly analyzed the Kyoto data (observers: M. Uemura and
R. Ishioka) on Apr. 2. The data show that the object faded by 0.4-0.5 mag/d.
The hump-like structures seen on Apr. 1 became less prominent.
We apparently need further observations before making a conclusion on
the classification of the object (UG type is the presently acceptable
classification).
Further follow-up observations are encouraged (if the object is
an SU UMa-type star, the object may brighten again to a genuine
superoutburst). Other possibilities (orbital humps etc.) need to be
examined by future observations.
Regards,
Taichi Kato
