G'day all,
Despite many clouds from disintegrating cyclone(s) I managed to get a
few obs done for Feb 3, 4 and 5. All times UT.
First the variable in front of NGC 5128 (Cen A):
Feb 3 16:31 10.6
Feb 4 16:00 10.4
Feb 5 15:04 10.6
Sequence from Thompson & Bryant's Supernova Search Charts. The chart
also shows a 14th mag star at the position of NGC5128-V17, which is just
to the north of the variable I'm watching. GCVS typo error? Galaxy
position error? TWO variables??
Other variables:
AG Car Feb 4 15:45 6.8
Eta Car Feb 4 15:45 5.4
V854 Cen Feb 4 16:09 7.6

This EsB 365 fade is by far the longest one I have seen!
cheers,
