[vsnet-obs 42904] SN observation from IAUC 8043 and the position of SN 2003B

SN2003C 20020906.0 <205:C Puc
SN2003C 20030106.02 170C Puc

# A host galaxy of SN 2003C (0:41:20.91, -1:42:54.1 (J2000.0),
# reported offset = 9"W, 3"N) is a ring-shaped barred-spiral
# ((R')SB(r)a pec:) galaxy UGC 439. The UCB team with Keck I revealed
# that it is a young type II SN (Jan. 7).

SN2003D 20020214.0 <205:C Puc
SN2003D 20030106.29 175C Puc

# A host galaxy of SN 2003D (9:38:53.52, -4:51:5.1 (J2000.0), offset =
# 2"E, 10"S) is an elliptical (E1) galaxy MCG -01-25-9 within a group
# Arp 321 = HCG (Hickson Compact Groups) 40. The UCB team also
# revealed that it is subluminous SN Ia, not long after maximum on Jan
# 7. The disovery magnitude is consistent with this classification.

SN 2003B:
In [vsnet-campaign-sn 526] (Jan. 6):
># The precise position is not reported, so the asrometry is needed.

K. Kadora measured it as: 2:46:13.78, -30:13:45.1 (J2000.0), offset
from NGC 1097 = 68"W, 163"N.
