# SN 2002ka (9:30:41.62, -14:46:55.3, offset = 3"W, 2"N) was
# discovered on a spectrogram taken Dec. 28.256 UT, which revealed
# that it is type Ia SN about a month after maximum. The host galaxy
# NPM1G -14.0301 is a dwarf elliptical (dE3) galaxy. The expected
# maximum of typical SN Ia is mag about 14.0.
# IAUC 8038 also informed the discovery of SN 2002kb-ke in the Hubble
# telescope images.
