# NGC 477, a host galaxy of SN 2002jy (1:21:16.27, +40:29:55.3
# (J2000.0), offset = 46"W, 38"N), is a open spiral (SAB(r)c) galaxy,
# which makes a pair with MCG +07-03-031. The SN is located on the
# outermost northwestern arm. There is a bright (mag about 15)
# foreground star about 15" ENE of the SN (44" NW of the nucleus of
# NGC 477). The expected maximum for typical SNe Ia is mag about
# 16.3.
# Could you report your discovery magnitude to VSNET, Dr. Vanmunster?
