Hi All,
The SR star L2 Pup has been undergoing a faint episode over the past few
years as mentioned in recent vsnet chats. Although still faint, it appears
to have undergone a rapid brightening in the last few nights as indicated
by the following observations, all with 10x50mm binoculars.
STAR YYMMDD(UT) MAG OBSERVER
PUPL2 20020402.406 74 WPX
PUPL2 20020406.400 74 WPX
PUPL2 20020409.423 74 WPX
PUPL2 20020411.452 64 WPX
PUPL2 20020411.514 64 WPX
Others with access to this southerly star may like to confirm this
behaviour and follow its duration.
