Dear Taichi, Jose and Erwin, Taichi pointed out that some observations are not connected with others. Taichi also lists two IR Gem and SY Cnc. Both very often have major differences bitween estimations from other observers. I think the reason with IR Gem is simple - close star at 13.6 mag. PLEASE NEVER USE POWERS LESS THAN about 120x when observe this star! I think in SY Cnc case is existing(?) some different sequences for this one. PLEASE MAKE SURE STAR POSITION WHEN YOU OBSERVING! Here are some examples from my mind stars with ' a trap': AB Dra - Do not confuse it with nearby 13.6! TZ Per - A trap is 14.2 star very nearby RX And - simple but some guys may have a problem with nearby star... CZ Ori - Remember about 13th mag stars nearby SV CMi - 14.2 mag nearby.. X Leo - 13.6 mag nearby, and this bright star on field don't make estimation easy... AT Cnc - similar star 'figure' nearby QY Per - faint 14.9 mag star nearby TW Tri - in faint 15.5 mag stars tringle. Really challange down than 15.5!!! RU Peg - 12mag star nearby. Often overestimated! See AAVSO disccusion group Archive for details. EF Peg - 11mag star nearby HO Del - 15.2 mag star often misid with right HO Del! V1413 Aql - 13 mag star nearby V1141 Aql - Be careful! Rich-star field and many faint ones! V1113 Cyg - 13.6mag star nearby V1114 Cyg - Horror! Rich star field. For large scopes only... V811 Cyg - often my bad-friend! Bad AAVSO sequence Mike Simionsen made good job for new one! :) V1351 Cyg - no comment :) That's reason why I check this one time per year session :) V1081 Cyg - I think for large scopes. Bright star very nearby. V1251 Cyg - In group of 14th mag stars... FX Cep - Gary wrote me some time ago about faint star which can be misids with FX HT Cas - 13.9mag star nearby DK Cas - Rich field, some similar figures nearby... KU Cas - Star nearby! ... ... ... Best regards, Maciej
