Subject: Observations of Eta Car and VW Hyi
Dear Dr Kato,
The following recent visual observations have been made of Eta Carinae and
VW Hydri:
Star Date Mag.
Eta Car 2001 12 17.633 5.4
2002 01 05.473 5.4
2002 01 09.483 5.3
VW Hyi 2002 01 09.496 5.3
I haven't noticed any significant change in the magnitude of Eta Car.
Visual magnitude estimates of this star are always a bit difficult because
of the nebulosity surrounding it.
