[vsnet-obs 36520] Nova in SMC Observation

I have been able to confirm the nova suspect in the SMC reported by Bill Liller as detailed below:

SMCnova2001 20011023.842 132 Pea.RASNZ

41cm refl used.

Comparison stars used include OB star Sand. 10 (V =13.20, B-V = -0.21), GSC 9141 7605 (V=12.2) and GSC 9141 7784 (V=13.0)

Position for nova suspect was as per Bill's reported position.
