The observation made by Michel Verdenet ( Sgrnova2001-3 20010905.814 6.0::)
was a prediscovery sighting. Michel serachs the variables and her fields by
progression from star to star and utilised the alignement delta-gamme Sgr in
order to reach V1017 Sgr. He noticed an orangy star lightly weaker (6.0::?)
than the nearby mv 5.6 star. He was surprised but observed V1017 Sgr and then
the nova 2001-2 ... and did dot verify the chart. The meteo is changeable,
the moon disturbed and other variables were scheduled. Just his luck !
