V1548 Aql has faded significantly since my last observations in V and R
bands. The decline is much more pronounced in V (0.959 mag) than in R (0.322
mag). At the time of the observations listed below, this nova had once again
become very deeply reddened (V-R = +2.0). Recently obtained data:
AQLV1548 20010731.272 13.93V OCN
AQLV1548 20010731.277 11.91R OCN
I evidently caught V2274 Cyg early in the rebrightening phase reported in
vsnet-alert 6161. The V-R color was also very red (+1.4), somewhat greater
than the values (around +1.2) recorded several nights earlier when the star
was about 1 mag brighter in V band. Recent observations:
CYGV2274 20010731.281 12.10R OCN
CYGV2274 20010731.285 13.55V OCN
Best regards,
Steve O'Connor
